PEX or copper which is better?+
For most Katy slab homes we recommend PEX-A. It handles ground movement, won't corrode in our hard water, and is far less likely to burst in a hard freeze. Will you patch the drywall after the repipe?+
We make clean, controlled access cuts and prep them for patching. We can include drywall patching and texture matching in the quote or coordinate with your preferred painter.
Do I need a repipe if I only have a few leaks?+
Not necessarily. Spot repairs make sense early on. When you see multiple leaks over a short period especially in copper or anywhere you have polybutylene a repipe is almost always cheaper and less stressful than the cycle of repeated repairs and water damage.
